Get your shop listed, free

If your business is locally owned, we’d love to include it. There’s no cost, and the application takes about five minutes. Already listed? Request a change instead.

How it works

Step 1

Tell us about your shop

Fill in the form below: what you sell, where you are, your hours, and a couple of photos if you have them.

Step 2

We review it

A real person reads every application and checks it against the criteria. If we have a question, we’ll email you.

Step 3

Your listing goes live

We build your page and email you the link, usually within a week. Share it with your customers.

  • Your regular opening hours
  • A sentence or two about what makes your shop worth a visit
  • Your logo and a photo of your storefront, if you have them (JPG, PNG, or WebP, up to 5 MB each)

Fields marked “required” must be filled in. Everything else is optional.

Your role

Local ownership

To be listed on Dubuque Shops, a business must:

  1. Be independently and locally owned. At least 51% of the business must be owned by people who live in the greater Dubuque area.
  2. Not be a franchise or chain. That means no franchise, licensee, or location of a regional or national chain.
  3. Make its decisions locally. Its owners decide what it sells, how it operates, and how it serves the community.
  4. Have a customer-facing location in Dubuque. To start, we’re featuring shops downtown.

Listings are always free. We review every application by hand and may remove a listing that no longer meets these criteria.
